Privacy policy

This policy explains how Got It Coupons (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you use gotitcoupons.com or buy vouchers from us. We process personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”) and the rules made under it.

1. Who we are

2. What personal data we collect and why

• Enquiry and quote forms: name, work email, phone number (if given), company name, team size, budget and your message. Purpose: to reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote.
• Guide download: name, work email and company. Purpose: to send you the guide and follow up on your request. If you tick the separate optional box, we also send occasional gifting tips and offers.
• Orders: billing name, company, GSTIN, billing address, email and phone. Purpose: to process your order, issue invoices and meet tax and accounting laws.
• Recipient details you share with us: names, email addresses or mobile numbers of the employees, clients or partners you want to send vouchers to. Purpose: only to deliver the vouchers you ordered and to provide support on them.
• Website usage: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location from IP address, and campaign details (such as the ad or link that brought you here). Purpose: to keep the site secure, understand which pages are useful and measure our advertising.

We collect only what we need for these purposes. We do not sell personal data.

3. Our legal basis

We process personal data with your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box on our forms, or for legitimate uses allowed under Section 7 of the DPDP Act, such as completing an order you asked for or meeting a legal obligation (for example, keeping tax records).

4. Recipient data shared by businesses

When a business gives us recipient details, that business decides why the data is used and is responsible for having a valid basis to share it. We process that data only on its instructions and only to deliver and support the vouchers. We do not use recipient details for our own marketing.

5. Who we share data with

• Service providers who help us run the business, such as our website and e-commerce platform (Shopify), email delivery, payment processing and analytics providers. They may process data only on our instructions.
• Voucher brands and issuers, only to the extent needed to issue and redeem the vouchers you ordered.
• Government or law enforcement authorities when required by law.

Some providers store data outside India. Any transfer follows the DPDP Act and is not made to countries restricted by the Government of India.

6. How long we keep data

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for. Enquiry data is deleted within 2 years of our last contact with you if no order follows. Order and invoice records are kept for 8 years, as Indian tax law requires. Recipient details are deleted within 1 year after the vouchers expire, unless the ordering business asks us to delete them sooner. When the purpose is complete, or you withdraw consent, we delete the data unless a law requires us to keep it.

7. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you can:

• ask what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
• ask us to correct, complete, update or erase your personal data;
• withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it (for marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link; for anything else, email us). Withdrawal does not affect processing already done;
• nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to do so;
• raise a grievance with us, and if you are not satisfied with our reply, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Cookies

We use cookies that are needed for the site to work, and analytics and advertising cookies to understand site use and measure campaigns. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site from working.

9. Security

We use reasonable security safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and trusted service providers, to protect personal data. If a personal data breach happens, we will inform the Data Protection Board of India and the people affected, as the law requires.

10. Children

Our services are for businesses and are not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. If we make a significant change, we will tell you by email or by a notice on the website.
